"(GE-) SCHICHTEN"
The German word “Geschichte” carries the connotation “layer,” as if stories consist of layers layered on top of each other.
And It could be said that we experience the world as sensory impressions layered on top of each other, which can be interpreted
independently, i.e. they "tell" different stories: I look out the window. I smell tobacco smoke. I hear the water flushing. I notice
that I'm too warm. - Our head “automatically” creates a connection. The density increases through information conveyed - for example
through written or spoken language. I experiment with telling stories through different sensory “channels”
to explore our ability to capture complexity. What stories arise in us when “telling” occurs at different levels of perception?
At the Neustadt Art Festival I will perform four performances that build on each other.
The stories are about the tension between (biological) existence in the here and now and the attempt to find meaningful options for action
as a responsible member of human society. My storytelling experiences flow into the next performance so that I
can refine this way of storytelling.
The four performances will take place at the following locations:
Friday, 8:00 p.m. Anthropoxene Gallery (Scheunenhofstraße 1),
Saturday 8:00 p.m. InterLokal (Kamenzer Straße 38),
Sunday 4:30 p.m. Stadtteilhaus Äußere Neustadt (Prießnitzstraße 18,
ground floor) and
Sunday 6:00 p.m. Nerdpol Café (Bautzner Straße 53).

mixed media poetry
Im Wort "Geschichte" schwingt die Konnotation "Schicht" mit, so als würden Geschichten aus übereinander geschichteten Ebenen bestehen.
Und tatsächlich könnte gesagt werden, dass wir die Welt als übereinander geschichtete Sinneseindrücke erleben, die unabhängig
voneinander gedeutet werden können, die unterschiedliche Geschichten "erzählen": Ich sehe aus dem Fenster. Ich rieche Tabakrauch. Ich höre
die Wasserspülung. Ich merke, dass mir zu warm ist. - Einen Zusammenhang stellt unser Kopf "automatisch" her.
Die Dichte erhöht sich noch über vermittelte Informationen - zum Beispiel durch Schrift oder gesprochene Sprache.
Ich experimentiere damit, Geschichten auf unterschiedlichen Sinnes-"Kanälen" zu erzählen, um unsere Fähigkeit auszuloten,
Komplexität zu erfassen. Welche Geschichten entstehen in uns, wenn auf verschiedenen Wahrnehmungsebenen "erzählt" wird?
Beim Neustadt Art Festival werde ich vier Performances durchführen, die aufeinander aufbauen. In der erzählten Geschichte geht es um das
Spannungsfeld zwischen dem (biologischen) Sein im Hier und Jetzt und dem Versuch, sinnvolle Handlungsmöglichkeiten als verantwortliches
Mitglied der menschlichen Gesellschaft zu finden. Meine Erzähl-Erfahrungen fließen in die jeweils nächste Performance ein.
